''this is a war as a result of a massacre that took place in Israel on October 17.''
oh please, surely no one who hasn't been in a coma for years could still think this
this 'war' ------- is just a part of a process which began decades ago - and will, eventually come to a conclusion
as far as 'hostages' go ------------- Hamas are holding about 100 hostages
Israel are holding about 10,000 hostages
There are few things that are clear in the area called Israel - that without a major change of attitude - Israel will NEVER be what it was hoped to be -
a 'safe haven' for Jews anywhere in the world to come to and be safe from oppression and aggression ---
atm - it looks like being 'safe' or 'a haven' is never going to happen and the risk for Israel is now ------ is to cease existing - because without the world supporting it - and certainly on major support - America -------------- Israel will disappear
there is no way this 'war' began on October 7 ----------- but, what began on October 7 - at a huge cost to Gaza ----------- may well be the destruction of Israel
Hamas might have thrown this punch this time - and yes, the cost to them is enormous - but, that's a battle -------
which Hamas is clearly losing ---------- BUT - it's Israel who look like losing the war.
It's kind of like the last days of the Vietnam war for America - America won many battles with it sheer brutality ------------- but, every hit it landed ------- broadcast to a world that was going to politically drive America into the ocean and back across the Pacific with it's tail between it's legs
the cost to Vietnamese was enormous - but, they beat America
