I also hold TNG for the long term.
Although I have not kept records I do not believe that ANZ have sold any of their holdings for quite a while. If current shareholders were to buy in the market they would have no idea whether they were buying ANZ shares or someone else's.
The only way to pull off a "Dunkirk" with certainty would be to make a direct approach to ANZ and I doubt that they would be interested in selling "small" parcels.
I am of the opinion that the reason why ANZ are not selling at the moment is that they are trying to find a single buyer to take the "OPES" holding at a suitable negotiated price. Who the buyer might be I have no idea but a parcel of that size at around 14 cents would be very good buying.
I too am waiting for the sp to drop further and I will add to my, relatively small, holding. I do not think that the sp will be down for long once ANZ quits.
