Stokdog... far from me to correct anyone... but the 30,000 was stated to be the global patient BMT population. The “EU5” have a combined population of 329m which is fractionally  less than the US. Historically, the US has had a history of prescription prices being double that of Europe and up to six times higher than some emerging markets. This trend is less pronounced in some of the latest CAR-T therapies applicable as one off treatments to leukaemia patients. Insurance companies after some initial reluctance appear to be prepared to make bigger one off disbursements for treatments which have very success rates and a lower total cost of therapy. A case in point is Kymriah which has just agreed pricing with the NHS (UK) and serves as a benchmark. Historically the NHS was reluctant to pay over £50,000 annual treatment costs for terminal patients

I would therefore guess that approval by EU medicines agency would equate to a target market size of at least the US because the EU5 doehttp://www.pharmatimes.com/news/nhs_england_strikes_deal_with_novartis_on_kymriah_1251397s does not include wealthy countries such as Switzerland,Sweden, Austria, Belgium ,Netherlands, Norway, etc which I believe should be covered by the same regulatory approval system.

Based on a larger population grouping with a slightly lower treatment cost I think that US, Europe and Japan would almost equate to an annual paediatric market of $700m .... but WTFDIK
