    There are more than one vaccine for flu.... the vaccines have been developed to be more effective over decades. it used to be the "attenuated" or weakened live virus which meant that most people would experience a mild case of flu.

    the SARS-COV-2 vaccine has been rated at >90% efficacy. which means that 90 of 100 people vaccinated will not get any symptoms - assuming that 10% will get some mild symptoms. The current vaccines also prevent reproduction of the virus and enables the immune system to attack the virus effectively.
