RB, commonsense post once again. I do question the impact of Chinese growth on the market though.
There is no doubt that gold behaves as a currency more than a commodity.
It is for that reason that investors need to become aware of the USD/Gold relationship and why and when gold vs the USD is a buy or a sell.
As Mr Armstrong points out, capital flows from weak to strong and in tough times it is about survival and liquidity. Gold provides very little liquidity.
It will come into it's own eventually but boy can it inflict some pain along the way.
