Thx for that. Yes it does make interesting reading doesn't it. I certainly feel that a low interest rate is destoying the gold carry trade just as it has destroyed the yen carry the difference being that finding physical gold to replace the original borrowed stock is proving very difficult. I suspect a heavy hand in the market currently to help cover the shorts before letting it run free....(BTW, I'm not one of those consiracy bugs)
