google’s mission is search for the public and making revenue through advertising. I don’t see google getting much value out of higher definition maps, they have done it already for what they needed with google maps street view, because it fits with driving and finding directions but things like historical high def mapping of buildings, backyards, businesses, construction sites isn’t that much value for the public. Great value for businesses that need it though.
