    wow, how low we go without Proga in our lives... If you're looking at patents you're looking in the wrong place. its about cost of mass production (underscore mass). For example, hydrogen works amazingly well but the cost of production has all but killed it (for light vehicles). Tesla and CATL are the ones to watch I'd say if thinking about graphites relevance. They still have plenty of graphite in their nickel based cells. Tesla is a big player here (and a important client to CATL) and they will do anything to make their cars greener i.e. use natural where they can. More importantly LFP is king and is only just getting started. Grid storage is finally becoming meaningful and will chew up LFP supply. The pipeline for grid storage is know years in advance and is very long both for Tesla and throughout China. But most importantly, new technologies have to compete with an existing technology that is still on a cost decline. One day it might not be in some cars but not before a boom.

    And a related side note: yes, there is a slow down in EVs but I don't believe it's a trend. It's a blip.
