Gold Finger,
Once any options expire, lapse or are cancelled, they are "dead". They cease to exist at that point in time. Cannot be taken up (by anyone).
Bob and Chris can exercise any of their Director options (that have vested) and/or the listed options at any time (before expiry), even if they are out of the money.
This is what they "may" do, in order to get a bigger stake in HAV. I say "may", not will.
