Although founders were from the states, it's very very hard to beat the regional & national chains, for any Australian business without losing their shirt. So overall, if huge PE was justified on USA growth, Australian business just never will be there... the only benefit I see of them losing a tonne of money trying, is the learnings they will get on fast casual in the USA, and perhaps roping in some schmucks from wallstreet to invest in this business to lose some money so founder & founding investors can exit.
