Hi Again, . I am not sure Australia can be classified as left leaning or perhaps liberal from a human rights perspective as I can only give my viewpoint on historical Australia. I was raised a catholic and to treat all people equally black white or brindle as the saying goes! That thought of egalitarianism that ran through all or most of us I hope. I feel it might almost be lost now given our over lean towards the economy and business. I actually blame the corporations act as being a huge fault line in the world today as it allows some individuals to minimise their social risks and maximise their economic gains. That is a simple answer to a complex issue but as good an answer I can give.
