It's not a wildcat, simply bcoz they have the well logs for the 2 offset wells with them.
H1 was drilled in 1971 by ARCO.
H2 was drilled by MEO last decade.
As for Evans Shoals-1, BHP drilled it & discvrd the field in 1981.
It was only in 1998, during Albers era ie, that Shell/MEO drilled ES#2 & flowed 25.5 mmcfd from it b4 flogging it to STO. SO MEO can claim bragging rights to both fields.
Thank god that they plan to run a liner at H3 for a possible flowtest, rather then do a openhole test (at H2 which saw the Borehole collapse & only gave them a 5 MMCFD flow frm 1 formation).
