It is here that I don't follow you. A fall in the copper price doesn't lead to a fall in energy costs, labour costs and so on. I can't see why a fall in the copper price should reduce costs unless the price fall is solely due to a US dollar strengthening.
On balance I don't mind Mr Callaghan spruiking the company. I just pretty disappointed with the $2.3 per pound thing and i remained concerned that in an environment where many (for reasons i totally disagree with) foresee lower prices in a couple of years because of the cycle mentality the company will be marked hard until costs are reduced.
