AI is in fact - 'real' - it began as a collection, gathering all human knowledge
it is in the stage of maturing - learning to 'think' for itself
it IS, in some cases - already 'intelligent' - and is far beyond the abilities of humans
take a look at the AI which is specifically designed for materials research - it is truly amazing. And it's already producing results - way beyond what humans can do.
AI can accurately understand chemistry - and use it, think about it etc.
Where AI actually goes? who knows -------- for me - is can't be much worse than humans have been
