Hi sunny, sorry for how youre feeling. I too have been here many years. HC has indeed changed a lot in particular in the political forums which is full of the worst.
some observations... there is no prevailing algorithm. There's just a bunch of guys moderating arbitrarily.
you're right about AI.. the AI concept is a massive fraud, a ginormous exaggeration to convince us all to give over power 'to men with machines'. Its just machine learning.
but you're very wrong about mankind and the planet. The planet thrived because of mankind, not in spite of it. We are the most amazing creatures in the universe, capable of the most incredible things. BUT we can be easily led by intelligent people with compelling lies and they can make us believe dangerous things.
