$9 Billion Dollars profit is obscene when we are talking about a service provider...the banks provide a service to the community, we are beholden to them because we HAVE NO choice.
$9 BILION DOLLARS straight out of circulation, equates to approx. $375.00 for every man woman and child in this country paid to the CBA to bolster their bottom line.
If we add in the other banks "profits" how much cash are they in fact dragging out of our economy?
I recall thinking years ago when our wages were put into our bank account instead of paid to us in cash, when all Social Security payments had to go into a bank account etc, how it would serve to empower the banks and would eventually lead to monopolies.
I am so glad I don't have a mortgage as well and be paying through the nose just for the privilege...
