I note that the XJO, SPI200, futures in US, BHP, CBA, the HangSeng and H-share indexes fell after the Chinese Eco figures came out. But 30 minutes later, they (incl Nymex futures) rose and as I write the internationals among them are still rising.
Well, SP never moves in a straight line for long and BHP could go higher or lower from here, but I guess Life is this moment rather than sometime in the future.
For this reason, I would suggest the important things are : 1. China eco data does influence SP in a big way, 2. Movements like this one must be the work of guys with deep pockets, 3. Perhaps, there are too much short trade $$ so it's time to stop them out for a nice profit, 4. The smart traders will be observing the movements seriously now, I think. DYOR.
