Given all the speculation and conjecture about the Chinese intent once they join HAW'S register would it be a bad thing for us LCY holders if the JV went ahead in its current format. After all 60% of what is proving to be a massive resource is fine by me given that we would only be responsible for forking out 60% on Capex and Opex costings.
The Reserve bank is expected to cut rates again next month after the release of its minutes from 03/10/12 and there are signs that they think the mining boom could be over in Oz, so with this cloud hanging over our economy is it a good thing if we buy out Bevan given the massive associated mining costs or is it better to keep the current JV as is..?
Personally if we cant get the rest of Bevan rather cheap (ie under 20 mill) then I would rather our Co leave the JV as is.
