In these volatile times a company like Downer Edi represents a fairly solid investment.
Unlike Peptech and others DOW's shareprice is not ASX announcement dependent but based on quantifiable earnings in large scale infrastructure projects and Roche mining contracts. The management now looks for ongoing maintenance arrangements before committing to tender.
DOW's shareprice is likely to appreciate to around $1.00 over the next year or so and as such makes for a bottom-drawer investment at its current valuation.
