I believe that the only hope is for the people to get control back
Over the last 50 years in Australia the political system has slowly reinforced it's strength and given itself laws to make it untouchable.
Any minor parties that stick their heads up get shot down by both main parties immediately, with false claims and prison terms and a general media campaign to discredit them.
So we have a two party untouchable system and we get to choose one or the other but nothing else.
They work in unison, even when not in power the politicians still enjoy all the benefits of "The Club" that they belong to.
All people are the same therefore it stands to reason that even if a saint was elected to be PM he will be "In the Club with the boys" in a short space of time
So the system has to change and the easiest way to do that is to bring in a recall election system which would basically mean that politicians would have to listen to their constituents or face the possibility of being kicked out, this would bring some balance back to the system
