    I would be looking elsewhere for my brokerage if I was being charged $29.99 per trade mate. That's just ridiculous.

    Have you done some research to see what is out there? Hell ... even CMC stockbroking will allow you to trade for like 50% less than your current fees.

    If it is a matter of "I don't like their platform" then only use them for brokerage. ... and maintain your portfolio somewhere else. CHESS sponsored transfers will allow you to do just that ...
