PLA price fall makes one wonder if there is some serious shorting going on because of press reports of calls by the ANC youth to nationalise mines . The minister of mines has clearly responded to the press by saying they have no intention to nationalise mines and that the subject is a non issue.

The current presentation on the PLA website shows that the main demand for Platinum comes from Europe and the Far East. With recent increases in Chinese car sales up at 48% and German trucking company saying that small and medium size trucks are now experiencing sales growth the out look for platinum should improve.

Also that underground production is set to steadily increase at Smokey hills and coupled with open pit production the throughput should soon achieve the 60,000 tons per month.
