I was talking with a colleague the other day regarding a patient and a not so promising outlook and I mentioned to him the patients psychosocial challenges etc etc ... The reason I say this, is I knew at the moment in time the best option for them was to leave hospital with a positive outlook, rather than being pessimistic.
So I ask, if you were a patient, would you want to know the whole truth regardless of how much it may impact you?
