The way I understand this additional bond or payment for an extension would only be paid if:

1) No suitable deal between FAR and the interested parties was reached.

2) FAR would prefer to wait on the Ophir drilling results to gain advantage in negotiations.


The first could only happen if either, no JVP was interested, which we know is NOT the case, or the proposed deal is so slim for FAR that ME would prefer to walk away from the table.

That would allow deals to continue when conditions improve later and give us another 12 months to negotiate a better deal.

This is the obvious conclusion that most of us are considering as opposed to a deal HAS been made, the monumental announcement would then be imminent.

I am hoping for the latter WILL happen this month! IMO
