Like most of us I have been disappointed with the poor performance of silver over the last 12mths against a background of a generally firmer commodity market. I am confident that Silver will recover and become a highly prized PM as it has in the past .
Based on the Gold/Silver ratio, silver has only been this cheap twice in the past 20 years ..............In 2016 when it went on to rally approx 50% in the following 7 months. The time before was in late 2008 , that time the price of silver shot up 333% in just over 2 years . We have to be patient and wait for the ultimate upturn in the market.
Another interesting situation in the silver market ...........J.P. Morgan recently took delivery of 597,000 ozs of silver. Since mid 2011 they have gone from holding no silver to a stockpile of 140 Million ozs in its Comex warehouse ! We can only speculate as to the reasons for such a large strategic investment. But one thing we can be sure of , they are anticipating a much higher silver price.
