That's not plain English, if anything it's plain American. In England, as in Australia, we use tonnes for metric tonnes.
It has been my experience, through commissioning a lot of mines that every time the management clam up during commissioning that they are having problems. As for commercial production, what a load of BS. You're either running at design or you're not.
