Just some possible dot joining…..my opinion its a 50/50 chance.

But the fact that Apple will be using Intel in their new iphone7 series (as opposed to qualcom) does make me think a little about what is really going on behind the scenes

remember this from April (XPE Announcement)?

    ASX Release
    11 April 2016
ADRC TECHNOLOGY SOON TO BE AVAILABLE ON INTEL’S MARKET LEADING IoT GATEWAY PLATFORM
    Highlights
    •   Xped’s ADRC technology to be compatible with and available on the "INTEL® IoT Gateway Platform"
    •   INTEL customers to have access to all the benefits that ADRC technology provides
    •   In conjunction with Intel, Xped is developing a mini PCI‐express card that provides NFC and 802.15.4 communications with ADRC firmware executing on the
      latest "Intel® QuarkTM D2000 Microcontroller"
    •   By adding an Xped mini PCI‐express card, ADRC can now be added to IoT gateway routers available from several leading vendors that utilize Intel’s popular “Moon Island © IoT gateway” reference design
    •   To support the mini PCI‐express card, Xped is also porting its ADRC gateway services that can be deployed onto various platforms based on the Yocto Project

Xped Limited(ASX: XPE) (“Xped” or “the Company”) is delighted to announce that Xped's ADRC technology will soon be compatible and available on the "Intel® IoT Gateway". Intel customers will have access to all the benefits that ADRC technology provides, including NFC on‐boarding of devices with a simple tap.
Based on the latest "Intel® QuarkTM Microcontroller D2000" Xped has developed a mini PCI‐ express card that provides the NFC and 802.15.4 communications hardware required by ADRC and can now be added to IoT gateway routers available from several leading vendors that utilize the popular "Intel® QuarkTM D2000 Microcontroller".
Only one open sourced app will be required as a device browser and thus will provide the user interface for any device, from any manufacturer, and cloud services, providing manufacturers and end users with information they have never had access to up until now.
To support the mini PCI‐express card, Xped is also porting its ADRC gateway services that can be deployed onto various platforms based on the Yocto Project (an open source collaboration project) that Intel invests significantly in.

Intel Modems Could Be In More Than Half Of iPhone 7s
    By Teresa Rivas

Cowen & Co.’s Timothy Arcuri and his team reiterated a Market Perform rating on Intel (INTC) Monday, but raised his earnings estimates and boosted his target price by $4 to $36, writing that the Apple (AAPL) iPhone 7 win for the firm might be more fruitful than expected.

    Apple
He writes that Intel’s design win for the 7360 modem in the new iPhone was always a positive, but that new checks show that Intel products will now be in in more than half of iPhone 7 units, which would translate into about 100 million to 110 million units for Intel. That’s double his previous expectation of just 25% share for Intel.
    More detail from the note:
We remind investors that 7360 is a four-chip solution consisting of 1) X-GOLD 736 baseband chip, 2 and 3) Smarti 5 and 5C transceiver chips, and 4) X-PMU 736 power management chip. We believe the baseband accounts for the bulk of the total silicon area (~75%) and is being made by TSMC in its 28nm process. The other chips may be 28nm but could also be more lagging edge but also made at TSMC.

Apple chip builder TSMC expected to see record Q3 on 'A10' chips
    By Roger Fingas
Monday, July 11, 2016, 06:39 am PT (09:39 am ET)
Chip manufacturer TSMC on Monday posted revenues of just under $6.89 billion for its second quarter, and is anticipated to do even better in the third quarter thanks to growing shipments of Apple "A10" processors for upcoming iPhones and iPads.

Q2 revenues were up 9 percent sequentially, and 8 percent year-over-year, DigiTimes reported. Market forecasts quoted by the Commercial Times meanwhile suggest that because of the A10, TSMC's Q3 revenues could hit record levels, between $7.14 billion and $7.45 billion.
Apple is thought to be relying on TSMC and its 16-nanometer FinFET process for most or all A10 chip orders, marginalizing Samsung, which was once the sole producer of A-series chips but has increasingly lost orders as Apple tries to reduce its dependence. The A9 processor in the iPhone 6s line is produced by both TSMC and Samsung, for instance.
TSMC's recent quarter bucks a trend seen by other Apple suppliers, including Foxconn, which have reported weak orders even when compared with usual seasonal slumps.
If it is the sole producer of A10 chips, though, TSMC stands to generate large sums off of Apple orders in the run up to the launch of the "iPhone 7" and new iPad models, though there have been few rumors about the latter. New iPhones should ship sometime in September if Apple follows its normal release patterns.

NOW IF THERE IS A LINK BETWEEN TSMC, and TELINK : Dots joined…...I Believe we have it all sewn up!
