    Yes agree. LICs will live on and we should all find a new thread to post on.

    Going back to the original pre-election questions ... If Labor had won, I think the concept would have lived on, but WAM would have become an LIT instead (GW had hinted at that). Advantage - it’d distribute capital gains, franked and non-franked income separately. Disadvantage - distributions would be very lumpy as would need to distribute it’s income each year.

    But all hypothetical now as Libs won’t change the franking rule and Labor has ditched the policy (and as they just lost an election on it they won’t think about reinstating it for a long long time).

    Viva LIC’s !!
