Is it time for some wild speculation about L7?

Could yesterdays late afternoon announcement by MinRes trigger another round of billionaire FOMO in the Perth Basin?

MinRes announced a significant natural gas discovery following completion of drilling of North Erregulla Deep 1. (circled in blue) Highlights included
- Reservoir pressure suggests a discrete natural gas field
- Elevated gas readings and high rates of penetration were encountered during full coring of the reservoir,
which indicated excellent conventional properties
- An oil zone was also identified in the secondary objective Dongara Sandstone

L7 is located just north of the Waitsia, Senecio and Lockyer Deep gas fields and contains highly attractive, similar-looking structures with the same reservoir targets. NED-1 could become another new gas field on the literal doorstep to L7. Certainly the JV partners will be eyeing off the NED-1 result and its implications for L7.

In addition demand looks to remain strong for gas in WA.
