depends if you think the US is heading into recession

a 370 drop on the DOW seems to suggest that one is on the cards

If so then we could be looking at an extended period of downward moving prices

There is always a time lag between when an economy is recognised as being in recession and when it is officially recognised as actually being in one

I guess it takes some time to get the data

However a lot of commentators say that when a recession is officially declared ie is two quarters of negative growth then that is the time to buy

Ok we haven't had one quarter of negative growth yet but it is likely

the time to buy will be in nine months time
