Tolpigin gives a signal but it is a pretty weak flag.
AMP has been a serious serial offender against customer fairness and the Royal Commission found them out. Now NZ has declared war on that type of behaviour without a Royal Commission and given additional powers to the Finance Commission and RBNZ to govern banks and insurance comapnies.
Thank goodness for these actions in the interest of honesty and ethics.AMP has not sold its life insurance business but that just means they have valued it more highly than waht anyone is prepared to pay for it. Life insurance has been a declining market for some time, with its own form of abuse from decades past.
