Not sure if going back to a co-op is the right way but I agree that the half-a$$ed existence that now exists doesn't work for either farmer nor investor. Dumbest thing I have even seen since Saputo paid what it did for WCB.
It needs to either swing over to a fully listed entity or revert to a fully farmer owned co-op but either way I think the wake up call has been had in regards being commercially on the ball and have a robust, active and alert BOD.
CBH (Co-operative Bulk Handling) in WA has been contemplating the same dilemna that confronted MG ages ago and yet they have treaded cautiously compared to what Gary Helou led MGC into.
Lesson learnt.
