    A government tried but the people that own Australia's resources were not going to have any part of it. They undermined the government and the drunken Governor General sacked the government. It was 1975.
    I agree we have too much foreign influence. The Americans and the British are not our friend. Both these nations have built their wealth on the back of slaves and the resources of other nations that they either overthrow and steal their riches or in Australia's case, because they are our "friend", manipulate foreign ownership rules, drive down the value of commodities and then buy them up cheap. Go in and look at the major shareholders of all our resource companies. Blackrock, Vanguarde, State Street and then JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and a few others.
    Our current politicians on both sides are cowards. We need strong leadership with Australia's national interest first and foremost. Then we need to be a republic.
    I notice some attacked you immediately calling you a communist. They are traitors to the Australian people. The biggest enemy of the people is the media. They lie to the people every day, brainwashing the weak minded into believing the fear mongering.
