DV doesn't respect borders or socioeconomic status. education help enormously, as it did for me. I learned about all this back in the 80s at uni initially. as do many others, yet even a good education can't stop some people (M or F) from developing pathological processes.

your last para is particularly important, as I mentioned above, but largely its us who need to deal with our own issues and help our mates if they show signs of causing grief in their homes.
