I think the laws are geared that way, rather than judges being 'progressive'.

but for sure the laws are skewed toward locking up children own remand and leaving violent perpetrators released to haunt their former partner, monitor and seek to control them and the kids.

the number of murder suicides we've been reading about these last couple if years reflect quite an increase.

imo the laws need to keep people safe. in this the laws don't seem to be working.
