On the basis that one single dose of LANI (and an appropriate inhaler solution) will replace a 10 doses (twice daily with inhaler) solution of Relenza, I'm wondering whether this single dose solution of LANI is going to be more profitable to Biota than the 10 dose Relenza solution?
Technically and logistically on the basis of a one and done package, the LANI solution should be cheaper to package up than the Relenza solution.
Be interesting to understand whether there is greater manufacturing profit margin for Relenza compared with a similar retail price point Relenza solution.
What I haven't factored into this argument is the cost comparison of the LANI versus Relenza compounds. How much more expensive is LANI to produce - obviously there will ultimately be reduction in costs as critical production mass is reached.
