yet lightning isn't preventable. infection by covid is preventable.
and of course you aren't counting the cost of a higher infection rate from lost work hours, and the impact of long covid.
to say that only a few people die is to ignore the whole range of infection impacts.
I'm guessing that you had your jabs UT. therefore you didn't get sick..... neither did I and I'm loaded with morbidities that predispose one to responding badly to covid. we haven't used any social distancing or masking since 2021.
