I pay the same tax via BAS quarterly as a sole yrading business owner. I don't think it's the sane for super or share investments not yet realised gains.
At tax time, I might have paid too much tax for the year because my income wasn't as high as predicted (which is based basically on last year's earnings). So then, the government says, hey you paid $30tax, but you only actually owed $20k, so here is $10k back - ans tgeyll promptlydeposit it into my bank account.
How does this work with buying 100,00 LTR for $1, it going up $2.20 at tax time and having a $120,000 cap gain to pay tax on...... then a few months later it goes back down to 87c.
Maybe ive simplified it too much or missed something, but from the posts here, thats my take on what i read.
