Joyce has stopped playing politics with gay marriage debate in Australia and has decided to do some work defending his real job.
Joyce then realised that domestically QAN's fares are too high for the macroeconomic environment, AIZ is busy building an impenetrable base in NZ and that loadshares fro QAN domestically and internationally are looking lower unless growth eventuates.
What he is doing about it? Cutting capacity, well if that solves it, domestic airlines be damned. He did not try that with Aer Lingus and that has never worked unless as a stop gap.
Time for Leigh Clifford to save himself and throw Joyce to the Blarney Stone IMHO.
