Key thing here is that MK, etc. is putting down $1M of his own coin to make this thing fly.

That's the starting point against which to assess things.

I lost a fair bit of cash in IRL, but at the end of the day, that's my fault and no-one else's.

My personal view. The consequences of our investment decisions are our own responsibility: not the realm of others.

This time, there'll be checks and balances to hopefully make sure those same mistakes I made are not repeated.

This may be his last crack, and I reckon he may want to give it extra zip to make it work.

That said, if I put in, I'll be tracking the investment pretty closely, and studying the detail: not because I don't trust him, but rather to make sure that the risk profile continues to fit with what I'm comfortable with.
