Yak, all you need is version 6 or better to cut and past PDF text.

The above site is a download for version 7, make sure you "un-tick" the two boxes that include the downloads for Yahoo toolbar and photoshop.
The software is free, unless you want upgraded features.
after you install the new software, there is an icon in at the top of the tool bar that says "select".........just click on that option and then highlite the text that you want to cut and paste.
