@Marketinfo; you're confusing human rights such as an asylum seeker's right to stay alive with that self-indulgent 'sense of entitlement'.

In social democracies like Australia you cannot separate rights from responsibilities! Enjoying rights such as freedom of movement is attached to the responsibility not to endanger others. During a pandemic outbreak that means doing what the Chief Health Officer deems necessary.

Yet that's exactly what those whingeing and whining about Victoria's Covid19 lockdowns are on about - their self-indulgent sense of entitlement dictates it's all about them being able to do whatever they like without having any responsibilities to make that possible. As long as they get to do things like purchasing illegal drugs from nightclubs they couldn't give a rat's rear end about spreading Covid19 to others.

I'm on the other side of the scales and expect that people earn rights by fulfilling responsibilities. The overwhelming majority of Victorians have indeed fulfilled their responsibilities, earning the right to behave pretty close to normal. As for those who have whinged, whined and undermined the CHO and Health officials efforts to keep Victorians safe ... I couldn't give a rat's rear end about their elevated 'sense of entitlement'.
