Some people only read clickbait, as said earlier, and good subeditors work towards hooking them in and conditioning and reinforcing/developing thinking trends amongst their ‘catch’.

Andrew Forrest is a good man .
That ‘spy’ headline was clearly devised by the sub editor to up-ramp and ‘manage’ an anti-Forrest mind set.
When you read on you see it was no more than a standard international security check.
The same with the claims Forrest gatecrashed that press briefing with an uninvited (Chinese) guest .
The man was approved beforehand by Hunt.
.... Another example : The Australian recently made a big fuss of how Australia’s richest man, Pratt, donated a million dollars to the Doherty Institute for Covid research ...and the very last line grudgingly reported a Chinese man had donated $2M.
Who reads 15 paragraphs down to the last line of the last paragraph ?

I am looking to invest in FMG and this is partly because I sincerely believe Andrew Forrest is a great Australian.
This is on the basis of my reading, over years, from many sources of his intelligence, philanthropy, social conscience and leadership.
I know people who know him personally and have told me of many significant ‘random acts of kindness’ that go unreported.
I think he is more trustworthy than media barons and that he supports AUSTRALIA and Australia’s future unlike multiple merry go round self aggrandising politicians and I expect he pays his taxes, unlike Pratt who for all the glorification and fame is a notable tax avoider - something that most likely went unreported in The Australian;

Anyway the point is most people can’t help being indoctrinated, and we are all caught up in it and it is a shame Australia has been sold downriver multiple times to both USA and China .
But hopefully FMG will continue to thrive.
