I can see from some of the comments from posters which I have not got on ignore, that some of those 'ignorees' are disrupting the forum.
My experience is that engaging with them is a futile endeavour. I have noticed that some posters on other forums take a gung-ho attitude and attempt to defend their stock by trying to win an argument. It is my belief that doing so is a failure to understand their real purpose - to disturb the genuine flow of information in any way possible. Similar to the pranksters who interrupt a live news broadcast in public. They want the air time and a they want a reaction. Mischievous children are best ignored. The ignore button is the best way to banish them.
