    Hi - just return it - whatever the cause its not your problem as its under warranty.

    My bet would be a fan - not hard drive - hard drives rarely fail under warranty and the noise would be consistently intermitent - i.e. only happen when the hard drive is in use which is at start up and ebry now and then during use (start up of an application).
