I should word this more carefully but instead I will be blunt.
I do not think it would worry me even if it cost me $200 to fill the petrol tank. I would not like it but it realy is no big deal.
I just feel sorry for the uneducated factory workers and low paid servants of the elite society who will not be able to make ends meet. Lets see what happens when the servants to the elite try for a wages push.
Watch crime rise as the rest of our factories close shop. Watch the housing implosion as people move to cheaper area's. What grows our economy? Oil , What will happen when oil is too expensive for the majority?
Recession? Depression ? Eventually unless alternatives are found very quickly.
