it’s a mixed bag with SR. Hard to defend him, but the Teva generics, while a disaster, were funded by capital raise rather than debt, so that’s a plus (now, not so good for the shareholders who participated I acknowledge). The genetics were poorly timed in that the genetics business model changed for the worse, when President Trump was elected. But the generics business has led thie company into a market leading position in the USA in contraceptives and got us linked up with Mithra and Myring and E4. So from a bad situation, which has of course cost long term holders a lot, the company now appears to have a bright future specialising in women’s health contraceptives. SR has also led the build of the North Carolina facility, which appears another great asset, given America intends to “bring home” pharma manufacturing.
So not all bad. I got on board after the E4 deal, but have still had to ride a roller coaster from 42c to 19c. I felt ill on 19 March 2020, but things have turned around since.
All said, the company has good prospects now, SR should be thanked, and now replaced with an American CEO (an insider, not internal appointment but someone known in American pharma circles) to maximise the company’s chances of making good of its prospects.
