China already announced plans to build an additional 70 gigawatts in coal power capacity this year, extending the 47 gigawatts built last year, and compared to only 3.7 gigawatts in retired plants."
Is that around 80 coal power stations? In one year! Just in China. Then there's India and other developing countries.
Coal is going to pay off for a long long time.
