Yes that is true and true again.
But I think it is fair to say that the jury is still out on the decision Santos made to buy into ESG and I think the market considers it as a "speculative buy".
I just wish we could see what ESG are actually planning (ie. concept plan) so we know what they plan to do with all that gas. For me the only logical explanation would be LNG out of Newcastle. Surely there is already enough gas supply for the domestic market? What ESG appears to have in terms of gas and the domestic market is like having a dam to water a flower garden.
