Just come from the AGM where it was intimated that GLN is in the process of hiring an operations manager who is a very good at underground mining which will be handy after the dewatering of Starlight. Start up is aimed for the June quarter '06 with an estimate of cash costs around $400 to $450 per oz depending on the source of dirt. GLN is fortunate that the water around Fortnum is fresh (not salty as for most mines) & so the around 2.4g per ton is not too bad re ecomies of scale etc etc.
Obvious resistance at 16c.
